At briefing, we identify the information you need on your product portfolio and explain what features of competitors' products in the relevant set should be observed. Then we present a recommended test design and our offer.
We survey the weekly backdata (for one year at most) from controlled and control stores. The Controlled Store Test design is presented to trading partners and products to be tested are listed.
At the beginning of the testing period, our outworkers create the desired test situation at test stores. They modify displays on shop-shelves, deliver test products, change price labels and product positioning. The situation in control outlets stays unmodified.
Products are delivered by our outworkers. We have several refrigerated lorries and a deep-freeze lorry so that the chain of product cooling is not broken.
Scanner data and the data on repositioning, promotional sales and the stock are collected weekly by our outworkers at controlled and control outlets every week or fortnight.
It is gps dataservice takes over the responsibility for all aspects of product management in the outlets and for clearing operations with retailing partners. The company that has commissioned the Controlled Store Test is therefore not involved in any possible disputes about the testing at retailers.
Complete data sets are transferred to you weekly by e-mail. You receive both, the mean data and data from individual outlets. The time-lag is 14 days, e.g., you receive the data on the 8th week of testing in the 10th week.
The identity of testing outlets is not disclosed so that third parties cannot influence the testing process. Of course, our clients can inspect outlets at any time.
It is possible to modify the test design and extend or shorten the testing process at any time.
Presentation of results: After the Controlled Store Test is completed, we present and discuss the data and results, and offer you recommendations for further activities. In addition to the test data, our expertise includes interpretation of soft facts discovered by us while talking with retailers and customers.
